Gordon Alexander Candelin
An award-winning creative director, Gordon spent 20 years working in design-led digital, advertising, and branding agencies around the world. He led the design of spatially-aware 3D wayfinding digital directories as part of Thomas Heatherwick’s redevelopment of Pacific Place Hong Kong. Gordon also led the human-centered design team for the redesign of the interactive passenger system installed at over 35 metropolitan transport stations in Bangkok. Prior to joining McKinsey in 2018, Gordon was the creative director of Cambodia based social innovation agency 17 Triggers, and later founded TheStrategic Design Lab, an experience design consultancy that worked with corporations, start-ups, and non-profits to create design-led products and services and build internal innovation capabilities.
A frequent speaker and lecturer on design thinking and innovation, Gordon is closely tied to the startup and technology community in Thailand where he has been based for the last 8 years. He also lectures on interaction design and innovation at the International Communication Design Program with the Faculty of Architecture at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok.
